About Us

Welcome to 3rd Grade at Immacolata Grade School! This year is an exciting time as students take on new responsibilities and grow in their independence. Third grade is often considered a big transitional year. While we will continue to build on the foundational skills from previous years, students will also begin to work on developing stronger study habits, managing their time effectively, and practicing autonomy in their learning.

In this classroom, I believe in the importance of “a little bit a lot of the time.” This means practicing consistent study habits rather than cramming all at once. Encouraging students to spend just a few minutes each day reviewing concepts will set them up for success in their academic journey.

Additionally, I love celebrating students! Each child will have a special birthday recognition to make their day memorable! Moreover, we will highlight one outstanding student each week as our Student of the Week, recognizing their hard work, kindness, and dedication.

I am so excited for a fantastic year of learning, growing, and celebrating each student’s achievements. Let’s make it a memorable year in 3rd Grade at Immacolata

The Power of Good Manners, Listening Skills, and a Positive Attitude

In 3rd grade, we believe that having good manners is an essential part of creating a happy and respectful classroom. Simple words like please, thank you, and excuse me go a long way in making others feel valued and appreciated. Holding the door for a friend, using kind words, and waiting your turn to speak are all ways to show respect. Good manners help us build strong friendships, solve problems peacefully, and create a space where everyone feels safe and welcome.

Just as important as good manners are
great listening skills. When we listen with our eyes, ears, and hearts, we show others that their thoughts and feelings matter. Being an active listener means focusing on the speaker, not interrupting, and asking thoughtful questions. It helps us learn more, understand better, and become supportive classmates. Whether we’re listening to a teacher’s lesson, a friend’s story, or a classmate’s presentation, good listening leads to stronger connections and deeper learning.

Finally, we know that a
positive attitude can make all the difference. In 3rd grade, challenges are opportunities to grow, and mistakes are part of the learning process. By staying optimistic, encouraging others, and believing in ourselves, we create a classroom full of determination and kindness. Positivity is contagious — when we cheer each other on and celebrate successes, big and small, we all rise together. With good manners, excellent listening, and a positive mindset, there’s no limit to what we can achieve!
